TIME's AI 100 List Includes Vaishnav, Anil Kapoor, and Nandan Nilekani

TIME Magazine released its prestigious 2024 TIME 100 AI list of the most influential people on Thursday. Included in the list are 15 individuals of Indian or Indian origin, such as Central IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnav, Infosys co-founder Nandan Nilekani, and actor Anil Kapoor.

Anil Kapoor

• 67-year-old Anil Kapoor was included in TIME's list after protesting the misuse of his image through AI in September 2023. Kapoor raised the issue when a large number of distorted videos, GIFs, and emojis began circulating online.

Ashwini Vaishnav

• The Central IT Minister was included in the list for leading India's efforts in the field of Artificial Intelligence.

Nandan Nilekani

• Regarding Nandan Nilekani, the magazine wrote that he is optimistic about the potential of AI. He has focused on practical applications of AI technology through the 'One Step' startup
